Resource: State school pesticide law
In 2000 the California Governor signed Assembly Bill 2260 in law. This bill requires schools to provide written notification of pesticide application 72 hours in advance to parents, students, and staff. Further details of the regulation include posting of signs at the school site 24 hours prior to indoor and outdoor pesticide application with the signs remaining for 72 hours.
