In June 2005, the Oakland Unified School District passed a Board Policy on asthma. This could serve as a model for schools across the state.
It addresses
* Educating staff, students, and parents/guardians about Asthma
* Establishing management and support systems for students with Asthma
They hope to develop a policy on indoor air quality in the future.
