PolicyLink Online Advocacy Manual
For all the challenges that exist, advocates in cities across the nation have achieved great successes in securing improved policies and practices and moving their interests forward. Whether they be new or seasoned advocates, all have relied on one or more of the advocacy strategies discussed in this manual as a vehicle for change.

This online manual provides tools and strategies that can be applied to a wide variety of advocacy activities. It is divided into four main sections:

1- Getting Started: Tips to Consider in Moving an Agenda
2- Getting People Together and Making Your Case
3- Getting What You Want
4- Seizing the Moment: Urgent, Unified Community Response

Please find the PolicyLink Online Advocacy Manual at
http://www.policylink.org/AdvocatingForChange/

A PolicyLink print publication, Advocating for Equitable Development, discusses the same topics in less detail. Equitable development is an approach that maximizes opportunities and reduces disparities for low-income community residents throughout metropolitan regions.
