National Asthma Training Curriculum: Powerpoint Presentation
Attached is a powerpoint presentation about the National ASthma Training Curriculum, that was presented during a CDC Asthma Teleconference.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention gave AAAI a grant to develop a curriculum, called the “National Asthma Training Curriculum”. This has been a huge project that has taken about four years to complete. This teleconference will give you an update on the final curriculum. The speakers are Julie Madden, MA, Team Leader, Asthma Program Section and Kathie Sunnarborg, MPH, CHES, Public Health Advisor. Julie was the first project officer to coordinate and advise the staff charged with developing the curriculum before she became the Team Leader for the Asthma Program Section. Julie worked with the Department of Energy before joining CDC. Her master’s degree is in distance learning from George Washington University, Washington D.C. Kathie Sunnarborg is the project officer who has overseen the completion of this project. Before joining the Air Pollution and Respiratory Health Branch in the Asthma Program Section, she has worked at CDC’s Chronic Disease Center and with PHPPO Kathie has her master’s degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at `Chapel Hill.
