In October, 2003, the Regional Asthma Management and Prevention Initiative (RAMP) convened a meeting on asthma and diesel in order to share the latest research, mitigation measures, community advocacy, policy changes and media advocacy.
The following presentation, by Janice Kim, MD, MPH, Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), describes the progress of two studies, the East Bay Children's Respiratory Health Study, and the Statewide Schools Assessment, which measured proximity of California public schools to busy roads.
