The Asthma Initiative of Michigan has developed the Michigan Asthma Resource Kit (MARK), and is preparing for its distribution to health care professionals in Michigan. The Kit contains tools, resources, and information for health care professionals who work with people with asthma. It is divided into three sections, including: 1) A professional section that includes the most recent guidelines on asthma care, tools for assessment and diagnosis, and scientific resources and references and asthma action plans; 2) A patient section that includes patient education materials, reproducible handouts; and 3) A local resources section with information on local asthma coalitions and community services.
