To eliminate these barriers and to enhance pediatric asthma care, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), in partnership with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the National Asthma Education and Prevention Program (NAEPP), coordinated by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, developed a comprehensive resource -- Pediatric Asthma: Promoting Best Practice -- a guide for managing asthma in children. The guide was created to ensure that a broad spectrum of health care providers learn about, understand, and implement clinical and best practice information for diagnosing and managing pediatric asthma care.
