| In October 2008, the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) released a report on the potential to reduce global warming pollution from heavy-duty trucks operating in California. The report, titled Delivering the Green: Reducing Trucks’ Climate Impacts While Saving at the Pump, also evaluates the fuel savings and economic benefits for truck owners, as well as the additional pollution reductions that might be achieved by the year 2020.
