| California Breathing has announced the release of the 2008-2009 funding cycle for the Strategic Plan Implementation Grants program. The purpose of these grants is to stimulate and augment projects that can reduce asthma disparities, and advance the goals and objectives outlined in the newly released Strategic Plan for Asthma in California – 2008-2012. Awards will focus on outdoor environments, housing, and community engagement in local policy development. Any organization committed to the goal of reducing disparities among communities that experience a disproportionate burden of asthma in California is encouraged to apply. Six to eight grants will be awarded, ranging from $25,000-$30,000 each, and covering a 16 month period. The deadline to apply is June 9th. The RFA and application forms will be available on the California Breathing website (http://www.californiabreathing.org) as of May 6th. |
