Regulation Update: CARB regulation on clean construction equipment passes
On July 26th the California Air Resources Board (CARB) voted to adopt a regulation aimed at reducing emissions from off-road vehicles used in construction, mining, airport ground support and other industries. The regulations will reduce emissions by the installation of diesel soot filters and encouraging the replacement of older, dirtier engines with newer emission controlled models. More information can be found in CARB’s news release on the regulation at http://www.arb.ca.gov/newsrel/nr072607.htm.
