The National Latino Research Center at Cal State San Marcos, Latinos y Latinas en Accion, and the Environmental Health Legislative Working Group are organizing an Environmental Health Legislative Advocacy Training in San Diego. Open to All Community Members, Leaders and Advocates.
The training will include:
An overview of the power structure and decision-making process at the state, regional and local level.
How to advocate for your community with elected officials
Information about current Environmental Health legislation that will impact San Diego & Imperial communities
Scholarship opportunity through EHLWG to travel to Sacramento to lobby on Environmental Health issues on May 23rd & 24th, 2005
DATES: Mondays - April 25, 2005 and May 2, 2005
