CDC Asthma Teleconference

| There is a CDC asthma teleconference scheduled for August 12th from 12pm until 1pm Pacific Time. The overall presentation topic is “The BRFAA Asthma Call-Back Survey: Getting our Feet Wet with the Data”. Asthma epidemiologists in the state health departments of Michigan, Minnesota, and New York, among other states, have been working with their asthma call-back data and this is an opportunity for these three states to share their approaches, demonstrate what they have done, and get feedback. The speakers and the titles of their presentations are as follows: Trang Nguyen, MD, DrPH and Melissa Lurie, MPH, New York State Department of Health, “Data Quality Control of the BRFSS Asthma Call-Back Survey Data”; Wendy Brunner, MS, Minnesota Department of Health, “Defining Current Asthma and Work-Related Asthma”; Betsy Wasilevich, PhD, MPH, Michigan Department of Community Health, “Measuring Asthma Control”.
