Mission
To decrease asthma related moribidy among young people in Oakland and improve their quality of life
 
Objectives
a. Institutionalize asthma surveillance in Oakland Unified School District

b. Implement school based interventions including asthma education and follow-up

c. Provide intensive home based case management to young people with persistent asthma

d. Educate providers in the community about asthma best practice

e. Increase communication between local organizations with an interest in asthma
