NLRC Objectives
|
The NLRC serves as a Regional Center and provides technical assistance that supports the work of asthma coalitions in Southern California including the San Diego Regional Asthma Coalition (SDRAC), the Imperial Valley Asthma Coalition (IVAC), Los Angeles, and Long Beach. Technical assistance activities include capacity building, coalition development, strategic planning, data analysis, action plan and policy development, and local intervention implementation. The NLRC also supports the CAFA initiative in the following ways:
• Survey development, data collection, and community needs assessments
• Research & identification of best practices and promising models
• Identification and tracking of regional data collection activities
• Coordination of information and resources among other CAFA partners throughout the state of California
• Assistance with local and state-wide evaluation activities
• Development assistance for new coalitions
